These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out the agreement between Purdy’s Pet Sitting (“we”, “our”, “us”) and the client (“you”, “your”) for the provision of pet sitting services in the United Kingdom. By booking our services, you agree to these Terms.
We provide pet sitting and related services, including but not limited to: home visits, feeding, walking, administering medication (non-injectable), and general care.
Specific services will be confirmed in writing at the time of booking.
Services carried out on Bank Holidays will be charged at 1.5x advertised rates.
Bookings must be made in advance via website. *Please note, for pet welfare reasons a minimum of 1 booking per day is required for the duration of every booking for cats, and a minimum of 2 per day for rabbits.
Full payment must be made at time of booking (unless otherwise agreed).
Prices are as advertised on our website or confirmed in writing.
Cancellations made more than 14 days before your booking start-date will receive a refund. Please note that any refunds will be in the form of client account credit, and will be held on your account for 6 months. However, this policy does not apply to Christmas period bookings (December 20th to January 5th) – these are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
Cancellations made after 14 days before your booking start date will be subject to full or partial charges.
We reserve the right to cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances (e.g., illness, emergencies). In such cases, a full refund will be offered.
You must provide accurate and up-to-date information about your pet(s), including health, behaviour, dietary requirements, and emergency contacts.
Pets must be up to date with vaccinations, flea, and worming treatments.
You must provide all necessary supplies (food, medication, bedding, leads, litter, etc.) for the duration of the service.
You are responsible for ensuring your home is safe and secure for both pets and sitter.
We are insured for public liability and pet sitting services through Protectivity (a trading name of Starpeak Insurance Solutions Ltd).
While every care will be taken, we cannot be held liable for illness, injury, loss, or death of your pet(s) except where caused by our proven negligence.
We cannot be held responsible for damage to property caused by your pet(s) during the service period.
If your pet attacks or injures the sitter, you may be liable for associated costs.
In the event of illness or injury, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you immediately.
If you cannot be reached, we reserve the right to seek veterinary care for your pet at your expense.
You authorise us to transport your pet to the nearest available veterinary practice if necessary.
If keys are required for entry, you must provide them in advance and confirm collection/return arrangements. Key’s will be kept in a locked safe while at the sitters premises.
We will take all reasonable care to ensure your property is left secure, but we accept no liability for burglary, theft, or accidents except where caused by our proven negligence.
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services if a pet displays aggressive or dangerous behaviour that puts the sitter at risk.
If services are terminated due to safety concerns, no refund will be issued.
All personal information provided will be kept confidential and processed in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
We will not share your details with third parties except where required by law.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales (or Scotland if applicable).
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
By booking services with Purdy’s Pet Sitting, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
